Yet again, Dunfermline Toasties have swept the board at the Area contests. The International speech and evaluation contests, was held at the Lowport Community Centre in Linlithgow on the 23rd March. Competitors from all the clubs in Area 33, came together to fight for the titles of best International Speech and best evaluation.

Just like last October in the Humorous Speech Area contest, the top two in each category were from Dunfermline Toastmasters.

In The International Speech Contest, Jayne Smith, Club VP memberships, took top spot, and Sam Forsberg, VP Education and founding president, took second place. With Shelia Fraser from Linlithgow Speakers taking third.

Where as in the Evaluation contest, Nick Mockler of both Dunfermline Toasties and also Founding President of Stirling Speakers, took first place, and Sam Forsberg claimed a very much deserved runner-up spot.

Nick and Sam claiming top spots in the evaluation contest of Area 33. Euan Bayliss came a very close 3rd.

Well done to all contestants and here’s looking forward to the Division S contest in Edinburgh on 13th April. Best of luck to Jayne, Sam and Nick.
